Trail Pony for Sale / 13.2H / Derry, NH We have a wonderful 13.2H POA pony for sale. Porkey is white with black spots and some brown coloring. He loves attention and is sweet as a button and in your pocket at 9 years old. He is an easy keeper and no bad vices. He trailers well, ties well, and clips well. I can't say enough kind things about this pony. We have had him 2 1/2 years and have found that he likes the trails more than the arena work and jumping. He neck reigns, and stops on a dime. We are selling him as a western pleasure trail riding pony. He goes over logs, through water, and does not mind cats, dogs, goats. He rides the road and the QUAD runner trails with ease. We are asking $2,000.00 to a good home only. Up to date on everything which includes coggins, shots, farrier work, and also a health certificate. 11 YR old Arabian mare – Hate to do it but it needs to be done. She is a great bomb proof trail riding horse. 15 hands and very sturdy/tone. Dark Chestnut with nice white blaze and two back socks. Up to date with everything and barefoot. Easy keeper no supplements needed. She is not mean, never bucks, kicks or bites. Gets along great with a herd of both geldings and mares. She does have sensitive ears and will back away from bridles and halters until she trusts you fully. We found undoing all the latches/straps helps a lot. That really is her only vice though. She is extremely intelligent and confident. Willing to go anywhere and always leads our herd in any “iffy” situation including but not limited to the busy snowmobile trails, into the lake, with barking dogs coming at us, and even in parades. You may be wondering why I would re-home such a great girl. Well, you know how some people and horses just don’t bond just like some humans don’t bond tightly? Well Stormy and I just never bonded. We like each other and make a great riding team but for me there has to be more to it than just riding. I have been mentally fighting this battle for a few months now but every time we go out riding she is so well behaved and confident I am back at square one. Since I can only have 1 horse I just prefer that horse to be a bonded life long companion, Stormy and I just never developed that emotional bond. I feel Stormy may bond with a human more if she were not in a boarding situation, maybe a rough board or someone that will work with her to learn new things (I think she may to be way to smart to just be a trail riding every other weekend horse). She likes to see her “owner” daily and I cannot do that for her. I live an hour from her so it is hard for me to get to her during the week. I also know she has never been bred but would LOVE to be a mom! She is a nice girl and a great home is a must!!! She is located in Wilmot NH. Feel free to e-mail me or call me 603-235-2269 with any questions or for a video/pictures. Asking price for this beautiful and well trained mare is $1,500.00 but willing to negotiate to an awesome home. Listed 6/30/09

Let's Go Big Red (Red) is a 16.3-17 hand 6 year old Chestnut OTTB gelding. He has been off the track for almost a year and has had dressage/jumping training since then. He is great for the farrier and vet, crossties well, stands great in the wash stall, and trail rides well on the road by himself (cars don't phase him at all). He has had loads of Parelli Natural Horsemanship training (could easily pass level one and knows a lot of level two). He is a big goofball so he can be hard to handle at times as he excites easily, but with time, patience, and constant work he settles down nicely. He lunges with side reins in both directions and stretches down on the bit nicely. I had him in dressage work all winter and had him jumping 2'6" courses as well. While he is a gorgeous mover and horse, Red will require some veterinary care and time to be completely rideable. He seems to have a problem of some sort (multiple vets cannot figure out what's wrong) that the vets believe might be in his hip or back. The vet has ruled out anything neurological. While he is sound for walk/trot work at this time and lunging, he does move awkwardly at times when asked to canter. We think he may have re-aggravated an old injury in his hip, and it has caused him to switch leads in the back while cantering and sometimes kick out. While he moved great for me this winter, the problem seems to have come back. He will be sound for walk/trot work for right now with the sky being the limit if you locate the exact problem. I just do not have the time or resources right now to unearth the exact issue, and just want to see Red go to a great home where he will be used on the flat or kept as a companion horse. Like I said, if you invest the time/money to find out what's wrong with him, I am assuming he will return to cantering comfortably and his jumping career in no time. He is still green so he does need an experienced rider as he is still young and full of energy, but he settles down nicely when worked consistently. I have many pictures of him under saddle and will email them on request. Purchased him for $1500 directly from the track, but am only looking for $500 obo since I feel he might need some x-rays and veterinary care before he is up to heavy work. I have put a lot of time/money into him since he's been off the track, and that's the only reason I am asking anything. Possibly free to approved great home! Call me if interested and I can give you all of his information and discuss options with you. Serious inquiries only please! He will need to find a home soon as I am going back to school in the fall. Currently boarded in Goffstown, NH. Listed 6/30/09

I sadly have to offer my mare, that I have had since she was a weanling. She is a TB X Percheron cross, standing at 15.3. Just recently turned 4, she's been ridden lightly and is ready for finishing. She is green, but has lots of trail miles on her, as well as 30 days professional training. She loads, clips, ties, stands politely for farrier and vet, lunges (bit rusty right now), rides alone or in a group (loves hunter paces), willing to work with water, and isn't afraid of much. Currently lives where there is a steer (her boyfriend) and lots of equipment, machines, etc. Only selling due to the tough times, as everyone else. My loss is your gain. She has great potential for a hunter/jumper, dressage, or endurance and of course, a nice trail horse. Never been jumped or ridden hard (she's 4) Good Home A Must! FOR SALE 40000 neg. Better I do it, 16 yr old Swedish warmblood gelding, 17HH, bay. Looking for the perfect home where he can be a dressage schoolmaster, trained up to prix st george currently competing 4th level. SAFE SAFE SAFE been there, done that, this horse was a top eventer who competed at the pan-am games under Darren Chiacchia.
Darren would like a good home for him and a dressage home is just easier on him, he could still event, is sound and in great shape. Just being 16 and having worked so hard all his life and than helping Darren recover we all think he deserves not to be challenged like that anymore. Though he'd happily jump around a course and he loves it when I take him out for a gallop in the XC field...
Darren had decided not to compete him because he is busy with the younger horses and needs to concentrate on upcoming talent, and just having him sit around would also be unfair to such an athletic and willing horse.
With his correct and confirmed training and his perfect attitude and ability to concentrate while anything could be going on he would make an ideal schoolmaster for a younger, older or timid rider. After only riding him for a week I took res. champ. 3rd level at a show with names as Micheal Poulin and scores in the upper 60's.
Anybody interrested can give me a call for more info, 605 261 8664, and is more than welcome to come try him out!

Chrome Remmington aka Remmy he is a 5 year old 15hh Morgan QH cross. Currently we are riding western and working on barrels. He seems to love running but i think he likes jumping better.!. It took me 2 days to get him over a corse of fences for his first time jumping ever and he loved it. He is up to 2 foot fences and could easily go higher. I have had a few Dressage lessons and its just not my thing, but with work i know remmington could excell in it with a more experienced Dressage rider. Remmy is a wonderful horse but could use some ground manors. He is wonderful at horse shows and all the judges love him. I would like for him to go to a show home where he will be used on a regular basis. I am leaving for college and my parents dont want to Trailer him to WV with me so i must sell him ASAP. i leave first week of September. This horse is my life and it is breaking my heart to even think about selling him but it has to be done. Would be best suited for an intermediate/advansted rider who would like to put some time into making him better at jumping. He is not a trail horse, but LOVES ring work. With more work he will quiet right down and i think could be used for beginners. e-mail for more info or pics. Asking $2500.00. Listed 6/21/09

De De has competed Training Level Dressage scoring anywhere from 60 to 65%. She also evented for 5 years at Novice Level. Saint -17.0h, 6 yr old, chestnut thoroughbred mare registered through Jockey Club. Registered name is Z Saint, her sire is out of Ocala Fl. She is very sweet and quiet. She is retrained. She came off the track with an oscelet ankle. I have never had a problem with it. It's stiff when lifted but has never caused me any concerns. Walks, trots and canters. She is forward but does still need an intermediate rider due to still being fast. She enjoys trail riding, is confident if the rider is confident. Enjoys riding, haven't had any problems with her with traffic. Although bicycles she can get nervous but if talked to she is fine. She rides western and wears a snaffle bit. I was told she was pregnant this year and she wasn't. But even with all the extra weight gain, had no problems with her ankle. Easy keeper, altho she is a mare in her stall and is not on any supplements. $1500.00

HQH Larks Hobby Ladi (Barn name Jessie) is a Registered Quarterhorse mare. She is a beautiful rare golden bay color with dorsal strip. She is 6 years old and approx 15hh. She is a nice sturdy built girl. She will go english or western. Direct reins and knows some neck reining. She is super light to leg. Will side pass. He was 17.0 hands and his mom was reg. paint just a brood mare standing 16.0 hands when I went to see him his sister was same way and now as a 4 year old is getting very tall. He has already had a saddle on and we hang all over him and he does not care have been on him twice but since he is still growing don’t want to push it. I am looking for something already done due to lack of time for 3 two years olds.

Zeb is a 7 year old Haflinger gelding. He is the cutest thing you will ever see. Zeb goes english or western. He was previously driven double. We will be trying him out single on a cart later this week, but I expect that he will have no problem with it. We did ground drive him (see video below) the other day and did great. He is very stocky and would be great for someone that doesn't want to get on a tall horse. He can easily carry 200lbs. He will walk/trot/canter/back. He is good in the ring and very willing to jump. He is great on the trail and will go through and over anything that you ask. Was taken to some trail competitions last year and did very well. He was also used as a lesson horse for intermediate children riders. Does not buck, rear, or bit. He has excellent ground manners and is very respectful. Can he handled, brushed, and tacked by kids. Has no problem with cows, llamas, pigs, or goats. He is easy to catch, good out in a mixed herd of horses, picks up all feet, good for farrier and vet, loads right into the trailer, stands for brushing and tacking. He is up to date on coggins, shots, trimming, and worming. Haflingers tend to always be very healthy and built like tanks. Zeb is no exception and is a very easy keeper. No shoes, no grain, no supplements, no soundness issues. Would be an excellent trail horse, lesson horse, driving pony. Asking $1000 Please call 802-293-5837. Zeus is a 10 yr old Sorrel Quarterhorse gelding. This boy is solid. He is approx 15.3hh and 1300lbs. If you are looking for a real sturdy horse this is him. This horse is really nicely built with a deep chest, wide barrel, stocky legs, and a strong hind end. Straight legs, sound, great feet, nice angle of the croup, and strong back. He's very willing and smart. He is safe enough for anyone to ride him. He is currently used for beginners in a lesson program. He is also ridden by a 7 year old little girl seen below. She can catch him in the pasture, brush, tack, bridle, mount, and ride this huge horse all by herself. He stands completely still and lowers his head for her to bridle him and holds up his feet while she picks them out. She does barrels, stakes, keyhole, and jumps on him. You can not get a safer horse around children. He is completely trustworthy and dependable. Safe horse day after day no matter how long he sits. He will go english, western, or bareback. W/T/C, backs, neck reins, direct reins. Is often ridden in just halter and lead. He is light to rein and leg aids. Doesn't buck, rear, bolt, or bite. He is happy to plod along for a beginner but he also has get up for someone that knows how to ask for it. Has previously done gymkhana, cows, and has been roped off. Has had lots of kids riding him. I do not hesitate to put a total beginner on him. He is excellent out on the trail in the rear or the lead. He takes out beginners all the time and is very patient with them. Zeus never gets anxious or frustrated when a beginner is making mistakes on his back as they are learning to ride. Laid back, not spooky, and will go through anything. Willing to jump. He has excellent ground manners. Trailers no problem, self loads (see video), ties, respects fence, out with mares and geldings, stands to pick up feet and for tacking, easy to catch, and all around very respectful. Would be great for gaming, husband horse, trail horse, western, or english. Asking $7,500 Please call 802-293-5837. You can watch video of him at www.mountainviewranchhorses.biz. Listed 5/30/09

Swamp Magic is a registered Appendix Quarterhorse gelding. He just turned 11 years old on March 19. He is about 16hh. Magic is a super sweet horse that we used in our riding program all last year. He goes walk/trot/canter. Likes to do barrels. Loves to jump but would need to be restricted to low level jumping. He is excellent on the trail and has a ton of trail miles on him. He has excellent ground manners and has been handled by children. Great for the ferrier and vet. He stays outside 24 hours/day. He lives in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings. Dream Copper Hawk is a Registered POA gelding. Copper was foaled on 4/27/2001 so he just turned 8 years old. He is 56 inches or 14hh. Copper will go english or western. He will walk, trot, canter, and back. Copper has really nice comfortable gaits. He is light on the mouth and moves off of leg aids. He is even learning to neck rein. He has a really nice jump on him and he absolutely loves it. He will jump anything that you point him at. He is consistent over the jumps. He won't pull you over or get strong over jumps. He is a bit rusty at coming into a nice frame but definitely knows how to do it. Copper was ridden primarily by a 7 year old girl. He is super willing and moves around the ring without the slightest objection. He will trot when asked and keep trotting and told to do something else which makes him ideal for kids. You don't have to keep after him to go. He is very smart and once he knows what you are asking of him he is happy to do it. He can be ridden on a loose rein and does not need to be held back, however it is not difficult to get him going either. He is great on the trail and would probably be a great cross country pony. He goes through anything on the trail you ask to. You can hold him back while other horses go ahead without him getting upset. He will walk to and from the barn on a loose rein. He is quiet for saddling, grooming, trimming, leading, cross tie, and trailing. He is a really sweet boy that I think could really take someone far in the show ring. He would be excellent for lessons, 4H, pony circuit, hunter jumper, english equitation, etc. $6,500 Please call 802-293-5837. You can watch video of him at www.mountainviewranchhorses.biz. This exceptional pony is quiet, easy to work around, broke to drive, started under saddle. You can't find a more sensible level headed gentleman than Blue. His "in your pocket" lovableness makes him the most endearing guy. And with plenty of "chrome" he stands out in a crowd. My 86 yr old Dad bought him as a driving pony with hopes of keeping Dad active. Dad had some setbacks last winter and so is unable to spend much time in the barn for fear of falling. This class A 9 yr old gelding is one of a kind. Give us a call or email for an appointment to come see him and see for yourself what Blue is made of. Barefoot, strong feet, UTD, clip, bathe, trailer, nothing bothers him. Built like a quarter horse but a perfect size at 13.2 h. Ready for you to turn into that Champion. PtHA Reg. Don't let this one slip away. 603-731-1646. Listed 5/26/09

FOR LEASE- 13 year old Arab/WB Dapple Gray Gelding. 16hh. To an APPROVED person only. He is available for an on-farm half lease in Campton, NH, boarded at an out-standing facility (email for full facility description). He has had a lot of time off (not due to ANY injury or lameness on his part) and was being brought back into work when I dislocated my shoulder (at work). Very well mannered; grooming, leading, and such. SUPER friendly horse. Dressage prospect. Extremely short-backed, compact, and uphill horse- perfect for Dressage. Very smooth gaits. Needs to be brought back into work slowly with lounging, groundwork, and riding at the walk. He’s a project horse for an advanced rider or trainer. Dressage riders ONLY please! Also no beginners or intermediate riders- he is a sweetie but needs an advanced rider. Great opportunity for the right person to ride a talented horse without the commitments of owning. Maxwell is currently being offered as a half lease; however, due to time constraints I’d be willing to let the lessee have more than half-lease riding time usually warrants for the time being. In other words- more horse time for less dollars! Please contact Katie for more information. For more pictures view photo album below. Thanks.

I'm looking to lease my pony out to the right person. He is 13.3 but very stocky! He could easily carry a taller person as he takes up leg. He does need an advanced beginner or up as he can be speedy when you first start riding him. He has no rear, buck, or bite. If you are looking to trail ride you need to be confident or he may bolt if something scares him a lot. If you are confident he only stops and stares. He is a western boy but if someone wanted to you could ride him English if you had a saddle for him. You could use all the tack I have for him and even show him if you decided you wanted to.
I'm only looking to lease him so that he can get more riding time as I only ride maybe once during the week and then ride him on weekends. You could ride as much as you like during the week and Saturday mornings. So Sunday is really the only day that wouldn't be available. This little guy could do everything. Gymkhana, western pleasure, possibly english and with the right person even jumping. He is very sure footed and the cutest personality. Please email or call me (Ashley) 603-209-4332. I look forward to hearing from you!
You can go to www.dragonflystables.com to see where I board him. It's in Richmond , NH . I also have pictures available upon request. $100.00/month. Listed 5/14/09

Coming 5 y.o. Loud Paint PMU ( White & Bay tobiano). (14.1-14.2 H) Has arthritis is both hocks, but is nearly fused. Will not need injections due to the fusion. This makes her gait a little stiff feeling until she moves out a bit. Gets better the more she moves. Will need to be ridden somewhat frequently and on the trail ( Not for the ring). Would be a great a child's horse or for a light adult. She takes care of her rider and is very steady. This a lovely mare with a heart of gold. Her spook is to stare and she refuses nothing asked of her. Vet and personal references are required. Free to an approved home. Listed 5/14/09

For Lease - Looking to free off farm lease or full on farm lease - Whiskey is a 6 year old draft cross gelding. He is ready to take an intermediate youth or adult to the nest level. He is super smart and loves to learn so bring him any direction you want. I have been doing hunters and equitation with him for the two years. He is an excellent confidence builder over fences, super honest and quiet to every fence. He has taught many people how to jump. He has done some low level dressage work and loves it. He loves to keep his brain busy! He works very well in an indoor or outdoor. He loves to go out on the trails, never bats an eye and is always the leader, leading all the other horses through the "scary" water, bridges, etc. He would make a phenomenal pony club mount because he is so quiet and versatile. I am getting a new horse and can't afford to keep both. But he is my baby and I can't bear to part with him and not know where he'll end up. May consider sale if a lease goes well. Offered for free off farm lease to an approved barn or $375/month plus farrier for full on farm lease. May consider sale if a lease goes well. 603-265-0036. Listed 5/14/09

For Sale or *possibly* a trade or off farm free lease - PC Mozart, Registered blood bay Arabian gelding. 10-years-old 14.2hh "George" is a sweet personable horse who thinks he is human. He loves to jump! Has been worked with all winter on the flat and over jumps. Consistently jumping 2'3" and sometimes 3'. He has jumped all kinds of obstacles including rock walls and ditches. He has been worked with on flying changes, collection, and extension. Would make a great eventer, dressage, or hunter/hunter pace horse. Always sound and iron stomach. Barefoot all his life, the trimmer says he has awesome feet! George is great for the trimmer, ties, clips, bathes, and trailers easy. He will need his shots and teeth done soon. George can be hot and is easily distracted/spooky so he is NOT for beginners! He usually requires a crop to keep his mind on working. He will trail ride alone. He works great in a herd but he is happy alone too. If you are looking for more horse, I am looking for less, I might trade him for a sound, bomb proof beginner horse, not over 16hh but able to take a 200lb rider, just a trail horse since competition is not in my future. Would prefer a horse that rides western. Must be able to live with only human companionship as he/she will be an only horse. Would trade you George with his English Saddle, bridle, and his other tack (ie blankets and such) for your horse and his/her tack. For free lease option, your barn must be within 1/2 hour of Fitzwilliam, NH, I will require to see you ride him, have a barn check previous to lease, and will require the ability to visit frequently. To buy him asking $1700 he is worth far more but hoping for a quick sale. See his video at http://www.onetruemedia.com/otm_site/view_shared?p=8847431ec3077823ddf369&skin_id=701&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url Call Val @ 603-585-9289 or e-mail to meet PC Mozart. Winning Jilco is a 7 year old Standardbred mare that was trained to race (trotter) but was too slow. So while she didn't live up to her name on the track, she certainly has a winning personality. Jilco is about 15 hands tall and is a sweet, in your pocket type of horse. She has a lovely head and beautiful thick mane and tail. Like most Standardbreds off the track, she is easy to handle, will load, tie, stand for farrier and vet. She is not trained under saddle yet but has worn a saddle and it was no big deal for her. She is cute as a bug and will be lovely under saddle. Jil is owned by New England Equine Rescue at this time. She is available for adoption. We would also consider offers from Foster Training homes. :) She is currently living the good life at a foster farm in New Hampshire. Please contact Paula at for more information. Listed 5/11/09

For Sale or Lease: Coming 4 year old (will be 4 in July) Bay Paint/QH cross Gelding, 15H. Jazz is a friendly, laid back, and well-behaved boy with a puppy-dog personality who gets along well with other horses. He was professionally started under saddle and ridden extensively last summer both in the ring and on the trail with other horses. Jazz is a nice mover with 3 great gaits, including a very smooth canter. He is great for the farrier and vet; he had his teeth floated without any sedation. Clips, bathes, ties, lunges, and trailers well. I have owned Jazz since birth and have not had any lameness (goes barefoot) or other problems with him. Unfortunately, he has been sitting around all winter due to my busy college schedule. Jazz is now being put back to work to refresh what he learned last year and to continue his training. . I would hate to see Jazz sit around again next winter, so I would love to find a good home looking to lease or buy him. He’s a great all-around horse with a good foundation under saddle that is capable of excelling in just about any discipline. Jazz is very easygoing and gets along well with other horses. Pretty hunter prospect for your consideration... Beautiful bay TB cross mare, green but very smart and willing. Has been under saddle but needs someone with confidence to polish her up! She's very happy to have a consistent job, and tries to please every time. 10 years old, 16.1 at least, and owned by the same owner her entire life. Owner is very green, herself, and needs a confidence builder rather than this pretty gal. As her owner needs to become more strong and confident in the saddle, they don't gain confidence together to move forward as a team. This tough decision has been made by her owner to do the right thing for both of them, so they can go on and gain the skills they both need. This is not a horse for beginners, and would do best with an intermediate to advanced rider. Does not offer to do anything mean or nasty, is simply just green. She is very athletic, has a wonderful way of going with nice big strides and floaty movement. She bridles well, and finds the nicest spot for her head and keeps it there with ease. Very smooth gaits, long lines very well, and is extremely intelligent and responsive to voice commands. This will be a very fancy hunter for someone who wants to show locally, or just hack and enjoy on the trails. Free lease to approved home, owner will consider giving her to the right person and situation. (603) 370-9118. Listed 5/3/09

He has excellent ground manners, and does his best to please and to do what is
expected of him. I was able to have students handle him while he was at our
facility with no hesitation as to his temperament".
Sue Bruns, UMass Hadley Farm/Reproduction Lab.
“Upon arrival Joe was a very healthy, most gentle stallion that I have ever handled. He was built beautiful and had no flaws about him whatsoever. He was always very cooperative, quiet and never flinched at a thing. I truly felt that Joe was an incredible horse with a lot of potential for the show pen as an all around horse, which meant that he would excel at many things”. William R. Ray, III Asst. Renny is a 9 year old Arab cross. He is approx 15hh. This horse is an absolute steal at this price. He is worth at least four times what we are asking, but we have him on consignment for a woman just wants to find him a good match! Don't miss out on this fantastic horse. He will not last at this price. Renny has a puppy dog personality. He just loves people and loves being brushed and fussed over. He couldn't be any cuter! Renny goes english and western. He has spent the last few months in training 5 days/week. He goes walk/trot/canter. Neck reins and direct reins. He is light on bit and responds to leg aids. He is very willing to do whatever you ask him to do. He jumps, does barrels, stakes, and is very comfortable working on the flat. He would be a great hunter prospect. He is very quiet and laid back. He's not overly forward and can be ridden in a loose rein without him constantly speeding up on you. He is excellent on the trail. Will go through anything you ask water, mud, down trees, etc. He will go out alone or in a group. Renny has excellent ground manners. Loads, ties, clips, bathes, tacks up quietly. Good for vet and ferrier. He is currently up to date on all shots, shoeing, coggins, and worming. He is ready to go! Would be a great hunter, jumper, english equitation, trail horse, english pleasure, or 4-H. Would be a great for anyone to ride! Asking $2000 this price will not stay! Price is going to be increasing as we put more training into him so don't wait! Give us a call at 802-293-5837. You can see video of him at www.mountainviewranchhorses.biz. Listed 4/28/09

Rennos Pretty Penny is a 11 year old registered tobiano paint mare. This little girl has it all. She is flashy, sweet, and she has a jump on her that you won't believe. At this price she will not stick around very long! Her price will be increasing as she gets back into work. It's hard to find a pony this size, with her markings that is broke for this price! She is 14.2hh with shoes on and will easily qualify for pony club and hunter pony curcuit. She will get you noticed in the show ring! Penny has jumped 3ft with rider. She loves jumping. You can see some video of her jumping below, but we will be getting her to jump higher as we get her working more. She has auto leads. Light on mouth. Goes walk/trot/canter. She backs and side passes. Moves off leg really nicely. She is ready to hit the show ring this season. Penny would also be a cute western prospect. She neck reins and she can slow down into a nice little jog. Penny is excellent on the trail and goes through what ever you ask her to. She did really well with cross country. She is up to date on all shots, shoeing, and coggins. Penny has a very sweet personality and really likes people. Great for the ferrier and vet. Good with other horses, stands for tacking and brushing, cross ties, loads, trailers well, bathes, and clips. Penny is ready to get you in the blues this show season! Asking $3,000. This horse is an incrediable bargain. The only reason that she is priced so low is that we are helping Desi new owner find their horse a good home. The owner is more concerned with finding Penny a good match than getting a lot of money for her. However as we put in more training her price will be increasing so don't wait! Give us a call at 802-293-5837. You can see video of her at www.mountainviewranchhorses.biz. Listed 4/28/09

Swamp Magic is a registered Appendix Quarterhorse gelding. He just turned 11 years old on March 19. He is about 16hh. Magic is a super sweet horse that we used in our riding program all last year. He was used for summer camp, lessons, and for hack riding. He goes english and western. Neck reins and direct reins. Very light on the mouth and on the sides. He has very comfy gaits. He goes walk/trot/canter. Likes to do barrels. Loves to jump but would need to be restricted to low level jumping. He is excellent on the trail and has a ton of trail miles on him. He does require some special shoeing, and is sound for moderate exercise. He would be fine ridden everyday, but our program requires him to work around 3 hours a day which feel is too much work for him. He has excellent ground manners and has been handled by children. Great for the ferrier and vet. He stays outside 24 hours/day. He lives in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings. He is a big boy and could carry a larger adult without a problem. He is not for beginner riders. Give us a call for more info about him. Asking $2,000. Listed 4/28/09

Sugar is a 8 year old striking palomino paint mare. This horse will surely turn heads. She is approx. 15.2hh. Sugar has been sitting all winter and has proven to be very sensible and willing for the first time under saddle this season. No rear or buck. She was not even the least bit hot. She is very willing in the ring and will go english or western. She will walk, trot, canter, and back. She is willing to go over small verticals, cross rails, and ground poles. She can do a really comfortable slow jog or move out into a more working trot. She is very smart and willing to approach new "scary" things. You can see in the video we introduced her to tarps on the ground and after a sniff she walked right over it and the next pass she was happy to trot right over it. She is very quiet on the trail and is willing to lead or follow. Would likely go out alone but we have not tried her yet. She would be fine for a intermediate beginner or a confident beginner that has all the basics. She may try to test a complete beginner a bit but she will not bolt, rear, buck, etc. She has very good ground manners. She good out with mares and gelding. Currently barefoot and has good feet. She loads, ties, clips, bathes, good for ferrier, and ties. Stands for grooming and tacking. Would be a good lesson horse, trail horse, husband horse, confident kids horse. Asking $2,500. Whiskey is a 6 year old 15.2 hh sport horse gelding. He has been at school with me for the last 8 months and used on our varsity hunt seat team. He does a 2'6" course with out a second thought. He does not have auto changes but has perfect simple changes. He is used to a bunch of different riders, as he is used in lessons daily here at school. He is a super confidence builder for someone looking to get some miles over fences. He is honest and bold but wont drag you over the fences. He's a pretty flat jumper and wont jump you out of the tack so he makes an excellent equitation horse. He is 99.9% bomb proof. He has gone in a hackmore countless times and loves to bum around the barn in a halter and lead. Whiskey LOVES to go out on the trail. He'll go for hours on the buckle without batting an eye at anything. Bridges, rivers, mud, puddles, name it and he'll find a way over, through, or around it. If eq. isn't your thing, he'd LOVE to give eventing a try. He's had dressage basics and is very happy doing it. And, as I said before, he's super bold when it comes to jumping. Or he'd be happy just bumming around the trails. doesn't.
If you are an intermediate or advanced rider, someone that does not need to be supervised, I would be looking for $150 a month plus half farrier (every 6 weeks). You would be entitled to ride 3 days a week for an hour or so. One of those three days would be a 30-40 minute lesson.
If you need a little more time to brush up and are a rider that needs some level of supervision I am available to be around during your riding time. I would be looking for $250 a month. This would entitle you to 3 days a week with a lesson for 30 - 40 minutes on one of those days.
There MAY be an opportunity to work off some of the lease doing stalls etc. Opportunities to show at an additional fee.
More photos and video available.
Whiskey will be coming home April 24th. If you are interested come on out and meet him, take a lesson on him, and see he's the right boy for you. Listed 4/9/09

Apple is a 7 year old Appaloosa/Haflinger cross mare. She is approximately 14.1hh. She is very stocky and is built to carry some weight. Apple had recently been sitting for 18 months! When we got on her for the first time since then she walked right off on a loose rein. No problems at all, no buck, no rear, no bolt. She would great for someone who needs a horse that doesn't get silly if they only ride on the weekends, or for someone that doesn't ride in the winter and doesn't want a horse they have to retrain every spring. She goes english and western. She loves to be out on the trail and is very responsive in the ring. She will walk/trot/canter/back. She is willing to jump, and she will practically do a sliding stop when you say "woah." Super comfy gaits. Ride bareback in halter and lead rope. She has good ground manners and will stand for brushing, tacking, trimming. She is currently barefoot and has great feet. She is a very easy keeper and is currently not on any grain or supplements. She has a very sweet personality and is not a marish at all. She loves to be pet and brushed and fussed over. Apple is very responsive to leg and has a very supple mouth. Therefore her rider should have soft hands and a good seat to be able to bring out the best in her. However she is tolerant and would probably be fine for a beginner who has the basics and who is taking lessons or working with someone. She is great on the trail and will go through anything you ask her to. She is good out with mares and geldings. Not a kicker or biter. Loads in the trailer, leads, ties, bathes. We are going to be teaching her to drive (she might already know how) so her price will be increasing if we get her driving. Asking $2800. Give us a call if your interested 802-293-5837. 11 YR old Arabian mare – Hate to do it but it needs to be done. Recently I have learned that my friend is selling a 2yr old mare I have known since she was about 6 months old, have helped to train and I am very emotionally bonded with, that made the decision for me. Since I can only have 1 horse I just prefer that horse to be a bonded life long companion, Stormy and I just never developed that emotional bond. I feel Stormy may bond with a human more if she were not in a boarding situation or maybe a rough board. She likes to see her “owner” daily and I cannot do that for her. I also know she has never been bred but would LOVE to be a mom! She is a nice girl and a great home is a must!!! She is located in Wilmot NH please call Tif to schedule a viewing as I live an hour away and trust tif’s judgment 100%. Her phone number is 603-361-6272. Feel free to e-mail me or call me 603-235-2269 with any questions or for a video/pictures. Asking price for this beautiful and well trained mare is $2,000.00 but willing to negotiate to an awesome home! Listed 4/1/09
