Winter is the most expensive time of year for Live and Let Live Farm (LLLF), an animal shelter in Chichester, NH that cares for more than 50 horses that have been surrendered by their owners or rescued from slaughter houses, abuse, or neglect. You can give these special animals the food and care they deserve this holiday season:

Please consider donating hay or grain at Clarks Grain Store, Hooksett or Concord Agway, through the Chichester Tractor Supply, or directly to LLLF. The grains we feed most are Vintage Senior, Trotter, Hay Stretcher, and Beet Pulp (no extra molasses added). As a nonprofit, we rely on donations to feed all of the animals at LLLF.
Volunteer! The animals at LLLF rely 100 percent on volunteers to feed and care for them, raise awareness about the rescue, and raise funds to pay for critical items like grain, hay, and heat. Start by coming on a Sunday tour, or contact us today to see how you can help make a difference.

You will learn how to handle, groom, feed and otherwise care for horses. You will have opportunities to participate in club, county and state related horse programs such as Quiz Bowl, Hippology (the study of horses) and Horse Judging competitions.

Parents:
Youth are invited to join the 4-H program where they will work with screened adult 4-H volunteers and other youth to learn more about horse care and management. The program offers opportunities to develop ones interest in horses while working with others; developing self confidence and practicing leadership skills. Both youth who own horses and those who don’t are welcome to join.

My husband and I work as a team doing pet sitting. We ADORE ANIMALS. We have experince with Dogs (most all breeds), horses, cows, goats, sheep, cats, some reptiles, rodents, and birds. We live on a dead end street, and come highly recommended, and have above average references. One of us is home all day, and while your pet is at our house they are treated like a family member. There is no kennels, but we do have a fenced in area for those dogs who prefer to be outside during parts of the day. I am located in the Hopkinton/Concord area, and am willing to travel to your house for visit as well. I prefer for dogs to stay at my house to get the one on one attention while their owners are away. However the choice is yours. Leaving your pets with us is a vacation for them! Animals are our life, and what we devote our time to. We charge $15 dollars a day/overnight, or $20 dollars a visit if its traveling to your house. Year-round Hay/Sleigh Rides and Pinewood Function Room We offer horse-drawn hay rides year round, or sleigh rides (depending on weather), at or off the farm. Wagon holds up to 24 people and travels along wooded trails and side roads for approximately one hour. Ice cream hay rides are offered in summer and pumpkin hay rides in the fall.
