WANTED: SAFE, SANE, SOUND trail horses needed at the Upper Valley Stewardship Center in Pike, NH. My program works with behaviorally challenged youth from two private
schools, does trail riding with local residents and runs a summer day camp for local youth. I keep a small herd of 4-6 horses that are involved in 2 classes a day for 5 days a week
and sometimes 1 trail ride on the weekend. They always get Sundays off and often more than that, especially as the winter weather moves in. The horses have a large barn with
several sections that lead directly to turnout. They are on pasture in the summer and eat our own hay when the pasture is gone for the season. I have a couple of horses that are
ready to retire so my herd is in need of some new members. I have several other free lease horses in the program and would be happy to put you in touch with their owners as a
reference. I offer an educated home with exceptional care (Equine Science degree from Univ. of Findlay, 10 years horse care experience), equine and human companions, and a
calm atmosphere. If you have a beginner/trail safe, and completely sound horse that would benefit the program please email me more information. Horses can be offered under a

The Governor’s Horse Guards were formed in 1859 as part of the State Militia for the purpose of escorting the Governor on public occasions. The 14th President of the United
States, Franklin Pierce was Honorary Colonel. Today’s modern unit is a volunteer ceremonial unit of the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Members participate in parades,
